The Apollonian Challenge Cup (also known as the Florian Airlines Challenge Cup) was a knockout rugby league cup competition organised by the ARL, the governing body for rugby league in Apollonia. The final of the Apollonian Challenge Cup was held in venues across Apollonia.
History
The clubs that formed the FRFL, desired for a nationwide knockout tournament. There were proposals for a knockout competition in 2017, but plans did not materialise. Finally, at the end of 2017, A landmark mark deal was signed with the ARL, meaning that Senyan and Craitish professional teams could join the competition. With Freelander, Nedlandic, and Nohavlandic teams competing in the Florian rugby league system a total of six teams were represented in the inaugural edition of the tournament in 2018, with 64 teams entering the competition. In 2020, the tournament was scrapped to accommodate a longer Super League season and all non-Florian teams who previously entered the competition were included in a revamped FMRL World Club Championships.
Format
The Apollonian Challenge Cup has 4 rounds prior to the final. All teams enter the first round from the Florian Super League teams to Florian Super League 2 sides. The format is shown as follows:

Florian Super League
Florian Super League 2
Florian Championship One

Micras Balkan Super League
Lamantian League winner
Venues
During the first round right through to the quarterfinals, the cup is hosted at the stadium of the team who has been drawn at home. The semifinals are hosted at neutral venues, usually abroad, so there is no advantage for the home team. The final is played at Northcliff Arena traditionally. However due to the reconstruction of Northcliff Arena, Stadion Grendbej will host the 2019 final.
