After formation, the Florian Republic entered qualification for the 2017 FMRL World Cup, which was held in Vyktory. There were high expectations for the team to qualify as group winners however then teams qualifying campaign was a disaster. Playing Gerenia in their competitive debut, a poor performance lead to a 30-12 defeat. A week later, the team travelled to Lamantia and drew 24-24 in a tight game. It got even worse for the team as they were embarrassingly hammered by Gerenia 40-6 leading to huge riots after the game and the eventual sacking of James Noble, the manager at the time. A week later, Jack Rowley a hugely successful manager at domestic level was appointed and the appointment paid off as the team thrashed Lamantia 40-0 at home in their final qualifying match. With a chance of reaching the repechage round of the qualifiers still possible, hopes of reaching the repechage rounds were thwarted after results did not go their way in the last game of the qualifying group, thus the team did not qualify for the main tournament. | After formation, the Florian Republic entered qualification for the 2017 FMRL World Cup, which was held in Vyktory. In a close encounter, the team lost 36-24 in a thrilling game. It was also the teams first defeat since their embarrassment during the 2017 FMRL World Cup qualification tournament. A few days, The team shocked the rugby league world a few days after they beat the World Champions, Senya 22-18 in a packed Northcliff Arena. To prepare for the 2018 ARL Championships, the team toured Keltia playing the likes of Tellia,Nova English Korea and old foes, Mercury. The team received a huge shock when in the semi-finals of the competition, after an ill-disciplined and poor display was beaten by Craitland and therefore crashed out of the tournament. The Florian Republic competed at the rugby league tournament at the 2018 Micras Games and won the tournament famously beating huge rivals Mercury in the group stage and final. After the Micras Games success, the team competed in the 2018 FMRL Four Nations for the first time. The team made a brilliant start to the tournament beating World no. 1 Mercury 24–10 before a shock 32–24 loss to Birgeshir. After the defeat, this lead to the team having to beat hosts and title holders Senya if they wanted to progress to the final as all teams were tied on 2 points. The team reached the final in what is seen as the greatest win the team has ever done. In front of a very packed and hostile Senyan crowd at the ĴetsStad, The Florian Republic inflicted a huge 46-6 win over the hosts and title winners dumping them out of the tournament in humiliating fashion. After the game, the team finished top of the group stage and faced old rivals Mercury in the grand final, winning the game. The 2018 FMRL World Cup ended up as a nightmare for the team as shock losses between Nova English Korea and Birgeshir and an unconvincing win over Zandarijin lead to the team finishing 3rd in Group B. This led to Jack Rowley unfairly sacked three days before the Quarter Finals. In a wet very quarter-final between hosts Senya, in a world record crowd saw the World Cup's first-ever tryless with Rhys Baxter kicking 3 penalty goals to victory. The Semi-Finals sent the Florians back to down to Micras and arrogance by fans removed after the team were thrashed 42-4 by bogey team, Birgeshir. ON the 10th December 2018, it was announced that Northsilver Panthers Coach, Morgan Maguire would take over the team after the World Cup. He was also appointed the Great Floria coach on the same day. The 2019 Apollonian Series was a great success with Great Floria beating Craitland comfortably in both tests. The series was supposed to be the only international fixtures played in 2019 as the FMRL approved a change of having the FMRL World Cup every two years instead of one. However, the FMRL also decided to host the FMRL Six Nations in years without a World Cup, and therefore the team competed in and won the inaugural edition, winning every group match and brushing aside Mercury in the final 36-8. | ||

History
First matches
In 2017, the Florian Republic, which the Confederate States where then known, came into existence and early in its history rugby league became extremely popular as the sport rapidly became popular among the working class people in the country, whilst rugby union suffered due to lack of interest from upper-class citizens. Several amateur clubs were formed before 12 of them became fully professional, leading to the formation of the Florian Super League, later on, most of the remaining clubs would become professional and join the semi-professional leagues below the Super League. Only three days after the formation of the country, the national team would play its first international against Tellia.
Failure to qualify for the 2017 FMRL World Cup
A week later, Jack Rowley a hugely successful manager at a domestic level was appointed and the appointment paid off as the team thrashed Lamantia 40-0 at home in their final qualifying match. With a chance of reaching the repechage round of the qualifiers still possible, hopes of reaching the repechage rounds were thwarted after results did not go their way in the last game of the qualifying group, thus the team did not qualify for the main tournament.
2018-2020
The team started off 2018 with a test match against Mercury national rugby league team.
