The competition was retconned and Football Manager used to simulate the season. The league pyramid was expanded to its current size at this time and the league itself expanded to twenty teams across three divisions. After two seasons, one won by Hyde FC and another by Lionsgate City, the league intended to expand again in 2016-17 by absorbing the teams of the lower 4 leagues and also expanding the amount of teams in the now amateur lower divisions, but never ran again.
