Mangosoft Corporation was founded in 1707 AN by a group of ambitious entrepreneurs who saw an opportunity to fill the void left by the lack of domestic competition in the Shirerithian technology market. At the time, most technology companies were focused on using services of Benacian distributors, leaving little room for innovation and growth in the Shirerithian sphere.

History

Mangosoft engineers and programmers working on their first Ruute SE system in 1707 AN.

Mangosoft's founders were determined to change this status quo and set out to develop cutting-edge technology that would meet the unique needs of the Shirerithian people. They began by focusing on software development, creating operating systems that were tailored to the Shirerithian market. Their first major success came with the release of Ruute SE, a powerful and user-friendly operating system that quickly gained popularity among Shirerithian consumers in a time of rising patriotism and chauvinism.

However, despite their initial success, Mangosoft faced numerous challenges in the early years. The company struggled to compete with larger, more established technology firms from the Benacian Empire, who had greater resources and brand recognition. Additionally, the Shirerithian technology market was still in its infancy (mostly still recovering from the Kalirion Fracture), and many consumers were hesitant to adopt new, often more expensive, technology and computers.

To overcome these obstacles, Mangosoft turned to the government for support. They bid on government contracts, offering their expertise in software development and networking infrastructure. Their efforts paid off when they were awarded a contract to develop the Restricted Internet Coded Network (RICNet), a secure and encrypted network that would enable the Shirerithian government to communicate safely and efficiently.

The development of RICNet was a turning point for Mangosoft. The project allowed them to showcase their skills and demonstrate their ability to deliver high-quality technology solutions. Moreover, the government's backing gave Mangosoft the financial stability they needed to continue growing and innovating.

Throughout the 1710s, Mangosoft continued to develop and refine their software and networking capabilities. They released several updated versions of Ruute SE, each one more advanced and feature-rich than the last. They also expanded their offerings to include other software applications, such as productivity tools and multimedia software.

Despite their success, Mangosoft faced several challenges during this period. The company encountered financial difficulties on multiple occasions, largely due to the high costs associated with research and development. However, they were able to weather these storms thanks to their strong relationship with the government, which continued to award them contracts and provide financial support.

By the end of the 1720s, Mangosoft had solidified their position as a leading technology company in Shireroth thanks to the launch of the public intranet network of RICNet. Their software and networking solutions were widely adopted across the country, and their reputation for quality and innovation had earned them a loyal customer base.

As the 1730s dawned, Mangosoft looked poised to continue their success. They had established themselves as a household name in Shireroth, and their technology was becoming increasingly integral to the country's infrastructure.
