The Sanama City Council election, 1679 was the first election to the Sanama City Council after the creation of the Federal Capital Territory. After the election the United Nationalist Alliance, Sanaman National Party and the Northern League formed the majority in the Council.
Senate seat distribution
After the election the executive of the territory, Mayor Semisa Anderson, appointed two senators from the United Nationalist Alliance to represent the territory in the Senate.
