Amokolia, officially the Kingdom of Amokolia, (Amokolian: Königreich von Amokolië; Mishalanese: Amokoliya; Elw: Amokool) and sometimes known as West Amokolia (especially in Elwynnese Amokolia), is a country in the north of Benacia with small parts on the Madison Isles. The country lies to the Northern Sea and borders Elwynn, Mishalan, Inner Benacia, Batavia and Stormark. The parts on the Madison Isles are in the Great Western Sea and the part on the main island borders Batavia.
The current Amokolia originated at the Kalirion Fracture, where the country formed a kingdom under the rule of Arkadius Frederik Gustavus des Vinandy, from the House of Vinandy. This created a de facto personal union with Batavia, since Arkadius is already king of the Kingdom of Batavia. Among some Amokolians, the kingdom is classified as the Kingdom of West-Amokolia because the original Amokolian territories lie to the east of the present kingdom. The areas Automatics (or Amokolian Islands), Mishalan, (eastern) Olesääd and Vattnaland are considered part of the kingdom, but are not under control.
The capital of Amokolia is the city of Brandenburg. This city was founded when the current Amokolia was founded. The ancient capital Anun, on the island of Drakenoya, is not part of the kingdom. This made it necessary to choose a new capital.
Amokolia is a parliamentary constitutional monarchy. The current king is Arkadius Frederik Gustavus des Vinandy. The parliament is the Reichstag, consisting of the Sænate and House of Representatives.

History
Main article: History of Amokolia
Amokolia was originally founded in 1504 AN (May 12, 2005). The pre Micras era consisted of a turbulent history, with at least ten monarchs succeeding each other. King Jess X establish the constitution and brought Amokolia to Micras. The first territory consisted of the Automatica islands, then the territory expanded on the mainland of Benacia.
In 1540 AN, Amokolia joined the newly formed Gralan Empire for four Nortonyears. After Amokolia became independent for thirteen Nortonyears, the country became part of the Ocian Federation. The country was liberated during the Amokolian war (1556-1557 AN).
But after two Norton years, Amokolia became part of the Victorian Empire. Only the Victorian Empire was not as stable as hoped, after which Amokolia was annexed by Elwynn. Under Elwynnese flag, East Amokolia became part of Shireroth, while the remainder became a protectorate of Natopia. Later, as an imperial domain, Amokolia expanded westward. But after the Auspicious Occasion, Amokolia disappeared from the map.
The chaos and instability during the Kalirion Fracture prompted a new independent Amokolia. This new Amokolia was founded with control over the areas of Absentia, Agningas, Hyfrost, (western) Olesääd and Tsofnland. The Declaration of Brandenburg is the official declaration of independence.
In 1672 AN, the Amokolian Highlanders invaded Mishalan.
Demographics
Based on the census of 1669 AN, the population of Amokolia is: 3,565,849.
Government
The Kingdom of Amokolia is currently governed by a military council. The appointment of a king is the first step towards the formation of a constitutional heritage monarchy with a parliamentary democracy. The intended king is Arkadius Frederik Gustavus des Vinandy.
Independence
The chaos during the Kalirion Fracture made the area, which forms the Kingdom of Amokolia, a forgotten area. Shirerian troops concentrated on the greater unrest elsewhere in Shireroth, allowing Froyalanish terrorists to seize the opportunity to revolt. The Amokolian Highlanders were helped by the Batavian Knights Charitable and Hospitaller of Amokolia to get the area under control.
The turning point came when the realization came that the area could no longer count on support from Shirekeep. A hastily convened meeting of dignitaries and military leaders led to the declaration of independence through the Declaration of Brandenburg.
The king of Batavia, Arkadius Frederik Gustavus des Vinandy, was invited to become king of Amokolia. His coronation was on 12 Weidemond 1672, exactly 168 years after the foundation of Amokolia. In support of the Amokolian armed forces, the king already sent his personal military unit, the Tassity Mansabdar, to restore order.
Political Parties
Although a parliament has yet to be established, two political parties have already been formed. The Amokolian Freedom Front and the Konservative Historical Party.
Military
The Amokoliaanse armed forces are made up of different units:
- Amokolian Highlanders
- Batavian Knights Charitable and Hospitaller of Amokolia
- Tassity Mansabdar (a military unit from Natopia loyal to the Nawab of Tassity)
Culture
National Symbols
Because of the turbulent history of Amokolia, the national symbols are a composition from this history:
- The flag of Amokolia consists of a white hemmed cross of Saint George on a red surface. The red color is derived from the red color on the flag of the Kingdom of Victoria, making the red color deeper than the red color of the original flag of Amokolia. The cross is derived from the original flag of Amokolia, with the cross in the upper left corner. The current flag was introduced in 1671 AN.
- The weapon of Amokolia.
- National anthem
- The national animal is the Amokolian Goose, also known as the Branta Canadensis.
- The national tree is the winter oak, also known as the Quercus petraea.
Holidays
- Foundation day: 12 Weidemond.
Calendar
The Amokolian calendar is a combination of the Norton calendar and Gregorian calendar. The era is the same as the Norton calendar, but the months are the same as the Gregorian calendar with its own names. The calendar thus corresponds to the New Batavian Calendar, as used in Batavia.
- January: Eismond (Ice Month)
- February: Taumond (Dew Month)
