Trans-Euran Railway Corporation
The Trans-Euran Railway Corporation is a corporation established in accordance with Constancian law (actually an Autokratorial Decree dated 2.XII.1746) in order to superintend the Trans-Euran Railway effort, and to better directly manage multiple subsidiary railway companies operating within the Imperial State of Constancia. It is domiciled at Mehrshahr but has offices in just about every Constancian city.
Capitalized via Constancian Legacy Asset Management, also known as the Permanent Fund, to the tune of 5 billion Imperial Staters, via a combination of grants and loans, as well as shares offered and sold to select private investors.
History
By 1730 AN, discussions were underway at the Euran Economic Union, Trans-Euran Command, the Grand Commissariat of Eura and Corum and the Committee of Euran Salvation that a continental corporation be formed, tentatively named the Trans-Euran Railway Corporation, potentially domiciled at Mehrshahr, for economic efficiencies and to enable some shareholders of the planned constituent corporations to exit with some profit and to enable the general public to purchase shares. Points have also been raised with respect to the Southern Euran Crescent Railway and potential entry of Oportia in the Committee of Euran Salvation, to start with observer status.
