THRONE SPEECH DEBATE STARTS IN FEDERAL ASSEMBLY
Party Leaders debate Seydlitz agendaCárdenas, FCD -- Legislators return to the Federal Assembly today to debate yesterday’s Throne Speech.
Robert Beaujolais, the Leader of the Opposition, will deliver the Social Democratic and Liberal Alliance Reply to the Throne Speech and the debate is expected to go on much of the day.
The session is also considering the election of the next Speaker of the Federal Assembly, with the previous Speaker, Consuelo Moscoso, serving as Temporary Speaker.
The Federal Assembly gallery has just opened in time for the start of the second session. The debates are open by the public during normal business hours, but remain open after only in the case of extraordinary or late night sessions.
During the debate, there was a noted performance by Premier Seydlitz, whose passionate reply to Beaujolais defended his agenda and earned him much praise and activity in social media. #SeydlitzPower has started trending in New Alexandria social media, especially in Tweeter.

Piriya FC fans duck for cover as crime wave claims 2 victims in shootingPIRIYA, ALD -- Piriya FC fans ran and ducked for cover during a Piriya FC game as two gunmen fired from moving vehicles onto a crowd of people outside of Khan Stadium.
A police investigation on the incident is ongoing, but police have shared that this was a targeted attack on specific individuals rather than a mass casualty or terror attack, mainly related to the drug trade.

Investors are pleased with significantly large orders for ships, airplanes, food, and other consumer products from abroad and domestically. Job openings have also increased, but employers are reporting that they are finding prospective employees rather quickly to meet demand.

SDLA CONVENTION FIGHT OVER SUCCESSOR TO BEAUJOLAIS
Deputy Julio Delgado early favorite to win race to succeed Robert BeaujolaisROCHEFORT, NLA -- The Social Democratic & Liberal Alliance Convention is priming up for a fight to succeed Robert Beaujolais as leader of the party. Its first ballot will occur today. If one of the three main candidates gets more than 50% of the vote in this round, they will be named leader.
The candidates in the race are Deputy Julio Delgado, Deputy Frank Abingdon, and the first female Mayor of Parap, Wayna Jaillita Nina.
The early favorite is Delgado, who is entering convention with a strong lead.

ROCHEFORT, NLA -- 59% of the delegates in the Social Democratic & Liberal Alliance Convention have elected Deputy Julio Delgado as their new leader.Delgado will succeed current leader Robert Beaujolais as leader of the political collective today.
The defeated candidates each took turns making speeches congratulating Delgado today and rallying around him.
EARLY CENSUS COUNTS REFLECT POPULATION INCREASE
Every Region sees impressive growth, New Luthoria loses population
CÁRDENAS, FCD -- Nouvelle Alexandrie’s population has increased by 4.63% from 1693 AN, with all Regions seeing an increase to their population.
New Luthoria was the only region to lose population, having lost -0.56% of its population, or 38,153 residents.
Santander and South Lyrica saw the top two highest population increases in the Federation, credited to the growth of native manufacturing centers, tourism, and territorial expansions in the area.
The Aldurian numbers in the census do not include population in the newly acquired territories in Northern Eura.
