Major professional sports leagues in Floria
Major professional sports leagues in Floria traditionally include four leagues: Super League Baseball (SLB), the FBA, the Florian Football League (FFL), and Super League Football (SLF).
The Leagues together are known as the "Big Four". Each of these is the wealthiest professional club competition in its sport worldwide. The Big Four leagues currently have 20 to 30 teams each, most of which are concentrated in the most populous metropolitan areas. Unlike the promotion and relegation systems used in sports leagues in various other regions around the world, Florian sports leagues are closed leagues that maintain the same teams from season to season. Expansion of the league usually occurs by adding newly formed teams.
The 'Big Four'
FFL
The Florian Football League is a professional Amorian football league and was founded in 2018 when gridiron alongside rugby league became popular in the country. The league is the highest professional level of Amorian football on Micras and currently has 24 teams after expansion before the 2020 season.FFL games are the most attended of domestic professional leagues in the world in terms of per-game attendance, and the most popular in Floria in terms of television ratings. Its championship game, the President Bowl, is the most-watched annual event on Florian television.
The FFL operates it's own rules of gridiron football and therefore teams are ineligible to compete at the Micras Bowl, organised by the MGFF. Because of this, the winner of the annual President Bowl is commonly described as 'World Champions' despite other countries playing the sport under slightly different rules.
SLB
Super League Baseball is the highest level of baseball in Apollonia and the youngest of the leagues. It currently consists of the Florian League and National League and there are currently 24 member organisations which are all located in the Florian mainland. Baseball, previously Floria’s most popular amateur sport became professional in 2020. Teams play a 162-game regular season during the summer with a 10-team postseason in October culminating in the Apollonian Series. SLB consistently draws the largest total attendance of any sports league.
Underneath SLB an extensive minor league hierarchy system is in place for player development.
FBA
The FBA is the premier basketball competition on Micras. It has 30 teams from the Florian mainland and the league is most popular in major cities such as Northcliff and Dragonmoor. The league is the only major league to have a franchise located in each state and is the most popular sports league amongst minor ethnic and working-class communities.
Super League Football
The top tier football competition in the Confederate States of Floria, the league consists of 20 teams and is one of the most popular leagues on Micras. Major teams include Northcliff United, Northcliff City, Dragonmoor FC,Blackoak Arsenal,Longsight FC and Stonehall Hotspur. The league is the only major professional sports league in Floria to operate promotion/relegation.

Super League
The Florian Super League is the highest level of play of rugby league in Apollonia. There are currently 14 teams, all located in Floria and the highest-ranked teams qualify for the FMRL World Club Championships. It is the oldest and sixth most popular professional league in the Confederate States of Floria. Super League lost 'Big' league status in 1685 AN after the rapid growth of popularity from Super League Football and FBA.
Micras Warfare League
The only eSports league on Micras. The league is played over the popular FPS game Micras Warfare with teams of four players battling against each other in tournaments throughout the calender year.
EDC
The most elite darts players from Floria and Mercury compete in many organised tournaments such as Super League Darts and the Darts World Cup.
