This is a list of cities of the Free Duchy of Anglien. Eight settlements are classified as cities of the duchy. The largest is the capital, Johannsessbuurg; the smallest is the fishing port of Vischreede.

The Free Duchy had an estimated national population of 1,302,547 in 1757 AN.[1] The eight cities together account for 748,173 residents, about 57 percent of the national total. The remaining population, roughly 554,000, lives in rural districts and smaller settlements. The national figure reflects the territorial expansion of 1756 AN, when formerly Lac Glaceian areas, including Eesdehaven with the northern marches, the Purple Isles (other than Storyäsh), and the southern city of Arminsburg, were incorporated into the duchy.

Several entries carry framing inherited from before independence. Arminsburg and Eesdehaven are described in their own articles as cities of the Grand Duchy of Lac Glacei, reflecting their status before incorporation. Shelsa and Bahira retain historical associations with the Gralan and Novatainian periods. These histories are covered under historical designations below.

Arminsburg

Arminsburg was the capital of Arminy and the seat of the Arminian Throne, a title now held by the Grand Duke of Lac Glacei. At its height the city held a population of several million and was regarded as the center of Crando-Germanian culture on the continent. Its skyline is dominated by the Volkshalle, the former Arminian legislative hall, 300 meters across and 290 meters high. Preservation of the historic core began under Lac Glaceian administration in 1702 AN, and the central plaza around the Volkshalle was declared a national heritage site in 1710 AN. The Nü Krantisk Repüblik was proclaimed from Arminsburg in V.1753 AN. The city was incorporated into the Free Duchy in 1756 AN.

Eesdehaven

Eesdehaven was known in ancient times as Kitchengrad and served as the capital of the Purple Bunny Federation. Its modern name is Crandish for "east haven." The city sits on the western shore of the Violette Sea and is the principal urban center of the northern marches; historically it served as the mainland port of the Purple Isles. Its population grew from roughly 25,000 in the late 1690 ANs to more than 200,000, supported by trade and tourism, with exports of amethyst, purple hares, and dye. Eesdehaven was incorporated into the Free Duchy from Lac Glacei in 1756 AN.

Shelsa

Shelsa, Crandish Skelsa, was the capital of the Gralan Empire and hosted the 1553 AN World Expo.

Bahira

Bahira lies in the interior near the capital. It once spanned the border between Novatainia and Toketi and was a financial center of Gralus. The city's football club, Bahira FC, carries its Novatainian heritage.
