Armin Wagner (born 15.II.1675 AN) is a New Alexandrian cardinal of Shirerithian provenance and Archbishop of Petropolis of the Autocephalous Nazarene Church of Alexandria.
Born in Shirekeep to a pious and religious academic family, his father Eli was a professor of Praeta and history at the Sir John Metzler III University, while his mother taught law at the Académie Alexandrin in Triegon. His parents met at a conference in Aqaba, Constancia. He has a younger brother, Xavier, a botanist, and a younger sister, Helena, who is married.
He is a Constancian national by investiture, Knight Commander of the Order of the Imperial State of Constancia during the 1748 Extraordinary Investiture.
Armin is known to be a quiet scholastic and something of an introvert, although well-known for his oratory and reflective insights. He is author of a book, The Progress of a People's Pilgrimage, which explores piety in the ordinary day-to-day, particularly for the laity, with its mixture of deep theology and the realities of the present in a very plain, understandable format. He is known for his inflexibility in principle, his advocacy in social work, that the Church must do more in the present to be rid of evil and unjust social structures; and has been known to be combative even to powerful figures. He was once summoned to a midnight audience by Basilinna Esmeralda who gave him a very public dressing-down in the Imperial Palace, where, witnesses said, he did not even flinch, and was said to have barely escaped with his life.
He is claimed to be a dark horse candidate, due to his humility and his consistency.
