The New Alexandrian general election, 1744 is an upcoming federal parliamentary election scheduled to be held in Nouvelle Alexandrie. The election will determine the composition of the 11th Federal Assembly of Nouvelle Alexandrie, with a newly expanded total of 749 seats being contested. This will be the first general election since the 1739 election that brought Juan Pablo Jimenez and the Federal Humanist Party into power, and notably the first to reflect the significant reapportionment following the 1743 census, which increased the Federal Assembly size from 689 to 749 seats.

Seat Apportionment
The 1743 census results, combined with the Federal Assembly Expansion Act, 1743, resulted in significant changes to the apportionment of seats in the Federal Assembly. Having been previously at 689 seats, the Federal Assembly expanded to 749 seats to account for population growth since the last alteration of the number of seats for the 1729 general election. The 749 seats in the Federal Assembly are distributed among the Regions based on population, with reapportionment occurring every five years.
