The United for Alvelo (UfA; Martino: Unidos por Alvelo) was a New Alexandrian populist political party active from 1722 AN to 1753 AN, based in the rural communities of Santander and Valencia. Built around its founder and long-time leader Pablo Alvelo Nieves, it advanced Alveloism, a philosophy combining distributism, social credit, and technonationalism. The party was a founding member of the Alliance for a Just Nouvelle Alexandrie (AJNA) in 1733 AN. After Alvelo Nieves's death in III.1753 AN, and by then reduced to three seats, it voted to dissolve and merged into the Democratic Socialist Party.

History

United for Alvelo was formed in 1722 AN to support the independent candidacy of Pablo Alvelo Nieves, a former mayor of Potosí who had held a Federal Assembly seat for Santander since 1718 AN. It became a founding member of the Alliance for a Just Nouvelle Alexandrie in 1733 AN and reached its peak of 28 seats at the 1739 general election. The party withdrew from the alliance after the 1744 defeat but returned under the Parap Principles in 1747 AN. Its representation fell to four seats in 1749 and to three after a defection during the Pact of Shadows scandal. Following the death of Alvelo Nieves on 24.III.1753 AN, the party voted 187 to 27 to dissolve at an emergency congress in Ciudad Real, Santander, on 14.VII.1753 AN, and its three remaining deputies joined the Democratic Socialist Party.
