The Panzerkampfgruppe Merrick, established at Tyrador on 6.II.1720 AN, was a combined Hurmudan-Benacian armoured formation under the independent command of Viric Merrick. Owing to the incapacity of the Hurmu Peace Corps, the Panzerkampfgruppe Merrick assumed the burden of clearing supporters of the Assembly of Representatives from the western regions of Apollonian Hurmu, in a manner similar to the 5th Vanguard Division operating from Ghawlama and the Volunteer Grenadier Brigade "Nordstorm" in Hurmudan Keltia, as part of the 1719–1720 Hurmu civil conflict.

The core of the formation is formed from the 15 Kavallerifördelningen "Angularis" of the BUDF, with HPC and locally raised elements attached.
