Court of the Prince
The Court of the Prince was the executive federal branch of the Elwynnese Republic. Headed by the Prince, it consists of a cabinet. Each member, or commissioner, of the cabinet heads a commission (sometimes translated from Elw as secretariat). Each commission has a number of assistant commissioners known as inspectors, heading inspectorates.
As of 1679, were three commissions of the Court of the Prince: the Commission for Coordination, the Commission of Defence, and the Commission of Foreign Affairs.
The last Court of the Prince was initially organised according to Writ 1676-001 but was subsequently revised in the wake of the Coldwater Scandal of 1680 and the election of Kamilla Winther to the Principate in 1685.
With the Second Elwynnese Civil War (1692 AN –), after being relocated first to Islus and then to Ardashirshahr, the Court began to assume and exercise many of the powers and functions formerly controlled by the Council of Eliria. On 19.VIII.1694 Benacia Command mandated the dismissal of Mihrzād Gushnasp and his replacement by Adam al-Osman as part of an overall reorganisation of Pact forces. The existence of the Court of the Prince was terminated with the destruction of Islus during the Scourging (20.XIV.1695 AN of which only five members, fortuitously out of the city at the time of the nuclear exchange, survived.
