Operation Greenpoint is the name given to the ongoing military conflict in the Green as elements of the Moorland Armed Forces work to secure the northern peninsular tip of the former Anahuacan state of Pavón around the city of Aldama.
Background
Following the events of the East Keltian Collapse and Anahuacan diaspora, Moorland was left isolated by the collapse of friendly neighbors Anahuaco and Normark. While a strong relationship with Mercury had helped to stabilize the northeastern corner of Keltia, the economic impact of these events had severely wounded Moorland's ability to project itself overseas with its ongoing efforts in the South Sea Islands and on Hypernostria. Friendly refueling stations along the Keltian coast disappeared overnight. The absence of a friendly and stable government in Anahuaco also threatened Moorland's ocean routes with piracy. As such, King MacMartin authorized the seizure of the peninsula around the city of the Aldama, both as. means to repair and restore the former port city and to secure the ocean route out of Taylor Bay that is frequented by Moorlander vessels.
