The Tribloom Defence Force, or TBDF, is the combined military force of Northbloom and the Mondosphere-occupied zone of northern Kalgachia. Established on 8.IV.1732 AN, it is named for the "Tribloom Region" of Northbloom, Abrek ("Southbloom") and Katarsis ("Westbloom"), which were historically part of the Minarborian Principality of Highbloom.
The TBDF forms the Tiny Banner Group of the Raspur Pact's Benacia Command.
Background
In the aftermath of Operation Penitent, several formations of the former Kalgachi Defence Force were maintained or recreated under the leadership of Mondosphere officers from neighbouring Northbloom, most of whom had themselves served in the KDF-supported Northbloom Dragoons. Many of these formations, notably the former 2nd and the 4th Divisions of the KDF, were successfully incorporated within the Mondosphere-led Tiny Banner Group, but questions remained unanswered about the long-term implications of retaining Kalgachi troops under Northbloomian command, not least how- and by whom- replacement personnel would be raised, equipped and most importantly, paid for.

Combined Staff
The Combined Staff maintain two headquarters, Combined Staff Headquarters (CSHQ) at Ermingander Village, and Command Rhizome Westnest. The latter- one of the three general staff command rhizomes constructed by the Kalgachi Defence Force- is believed to be located in a deep-level underground tunnel complex roughly equidistant between the cities of Katarsis, Jollity and Bergberg.
Air Wing
The Air Wing is based at Ermingander Village Air Base. It operates two fighter squadrons, the 1st with Mo 339s and the 2nd with F-24 Lightnings. As of 1732 AN, the wing commander is Colonel Poppy Hareton.
Fortress Brigade
The Fortress Brigade is primarily tasked with manning the 6 Specification A fortresses in the three lieutenancies of Abrek, Jollity and Katarsis:
- Looking Southeast over Abrek
- Looking Northeast over Katarsis
- Looking Southwest over Jollity
- Looking North-northeast from Fort Candycane
- Looking East-southeast from Mount Toastypops
- Looking North from the Splatterhorn
Each fortress has a garrison of some 320 personnel.
Joint Logistics Command
Joint Logistics Command (JLC) is responsible for the TBDF's supply network. It is based at Fort Candycane, near Abrek.
Joint Training Command
Joint Training Command (JTC) is responsible for recruitment and training. Its headquarters is located at the former KDF School of Basic Training and Infantry Warfare in Katarsis, and in addition also operates a number of specialised training facilities at Abrek, Jollity, Mirth and Ermingander Village.
Reserve Army
The Reserve Army consists of some 294,000 part-time reservists, who serve for one month per year:
- Lieutenancy of Abrek: 840 Reserve Companies of which 70 are active in peacetime.
- Lieutenancy of Jollity: 840 Reserve Companies of which 70 are active in peacetime.
- Lieutenancy of Katarsis: 1,260 Reserve Companies of which 105 are active in peacetime.
During peacetime, the Reserve Army contributes an additional 24,500 personnel to support the TBDF's regular forces. As of 1732 AN, the Reserve Army is commanded by Lieutenant General Robert Bleakley-Shrooms.
