The Princess Isabella's Own Volunteers was a brigade-strength armed volunteer organization formed in 1692, in light of the Second Elwynnese Civil War, by the most militant members of the Nationalist & Humanist Party, its youth arm, and its global congress. Named after Isabella Simrani-Kalirion, it soon attracted support and membership from retired former personnel of the Imperial Constancian Armed Forces, asylees and Benacian exiles in Constancia.
It was initially led by self-proclaimed "Sarlashkar" Malik Arrānāni, who had retired from the sinecure post of General Officer Commanding, Molivadian Home Guard, Imperial Constancian Army with the rank of Taxiarchos (Brigadier), after having commanded the General Service Corps of Trans-Euran Command in 1669.
At the 91st birthday of Isabella Simrani-Kalirion in 1694, it was officially commissioned into the Imperial Constancian Army in a ceremony at Petropolis, with select members as part of the Military Household of the Autokrator of Constancia, where Malik Arrānāni was commissioned "Sarlashkar" (Major-General) and confirmed as commander of the 1st Vanguard Division of the 506th (Molivadia Province) Home Guard Army, of which the Princess Isabella's Own Volunteer Brigade would be a component unit. At that same ceremony, the Humanist Vanguard in Constancia was enlisted en masse into the 1st Vanguard Division, and Nationalist & Humanist Party officials were conferred their corresponding Home Guard officer commissions in the 1st Vanguard Division.
Administratively, it forms part of the 506th (Molivadia Province) Home Guard Army. As of 1694 AN the Brigade was attached to the 5th Division of the Grand Army of Ransenar, under the Uihmanz Filbur, for the duration of the Second Elwynnese Civil War, where it suffered heavy casualties on the Wintergleam Front.
It took part in the Third Euran War and was deployed for Operation Paramount in X.1698.
Command of the brigade was transferred to Virgilius Vasilescu in mid 1705 AN.
