Virgilius Vasilescu: Humanist, politician, and Constancian field commander. A name linked with the conquest of Thraci Razjania.

Virgilius Vasilescu, Commissioner, Asylum and Refugees Commission, 1.IV.1685 to 1.VIII.1704. Implicated in the Iron Harbour Papers scandal of 1699. Chief Commissioner of Asylum and Refugees Commission for the Imperial State of Constancia, 1.VIII.1704 - mid 1705. Of Modanese ancestry. Has a son, Vincenzo, and a daughter, Vicereina.

Holder of legatine rank within the N&H National Sector Party of Constancia. Promoted to Taxiarchos (Brigadier) and appointed to command of the Princess Isabella's Own Volunteers in 1705 AN. Promoted to Sarlashkar (Major-General) in 1721 AN with the expansion of his command during the Norasht campaign. Promoted to Sepahbod (Lieutenant-General) in 1726 AN and given command of the 506th (Molivadia) Army. Promoted to Arteshbod (General) in 1727 and given command of the Imperial Constancian Army, after Periklês Metaxas took office as Mesazon.
