At the start, pole sitter Max Treuenfeld got off to a good start and kept the lead, while Michele Spettacolo from second place had a bad start and slipped to 5th position, overtaken by Toshio Sōma, George Hunt and the young Gareth Osian. The championship leader Trent Cooper, after a bad qualifying session on Saturday, is forced to start from 12th position and things go even worse when, during the third lap, in an attempt to overtake, he makes a mistake at the braking point, locks his wheels and ends up against Jordan Herbertson-Panner, causing him serious damage to the car, without however forcing him to retire. The stewards consider Cooper's mistake to be a serious one and punish him with a drive through, which forces him to restart in last position and a very difficult race. In the meantime, within a few laps, Michele Spettacolo manages to recover the positions lost at the start, showing how his car is at ease on this circuit, but, unfortunately for Sburo, Max Treuenfeld had exploited this mistake by the vegnese driver at the start to build a gap of 4.5 seconds.
The drivers who started on Supersoft tyres, the softest compound brought here to Floria, begin their pit-stops from lap 11, with Max Treuenfeld anticipating Spettacolo to avoid a possible undercut by the vegnese driver, who at that point opts to lengthen the stint as much as possible and have fresher tires at the end of the race; however, after his stop, he is forced to come back behind Giocatore and Islwyn who, having started on Medium and Soft tires still had to stop and failing to overtake them on the track, he loses a lot of time against Treuenfeld, who manages to build a large lead gap. In fact, the drivers who started on the harder tires manage to lengthen the first stint a lot and, thanks to a very constant pace on these tyres, clearly the best performing in the long term, they find themselves clearly at an advantage over those who started on SuperSoft, such as for example, Maddox Islwyn, Francesco Giocatore and Hein Pho Bin who, having started in the last positions, after the first stop are in the top 10 positions.
The second round of pit stops takes place, almost for everyone, around the 50th lap with Max Treuenfeld who always anticipates Michele Spettacolo by a couple of laps, but with such a large advantage that he can get back into first position even after the stop. Behind them George Hunt, who had already overtaken Sōma earlier, anticipates the stop and, thanks to an excellent strategy by the Enigma engineers, manages, after the stop at Spettacolo, to climb into second position. However, senyan's driver glory did not last long because Spettacolo, with fresher and more performing tyres, caught up with him and overtook him in just a few laps. Meanwhile, in the lower positions, Trent Cooper manages to make the only possible strategy work for his disastrous race: a single tire change with another set of medium tyres, which guarantees him an unexpected eighth position at the finish line after the penalty in the first stages of the race.
During the last laps, the wear of Treuenfeld's tires became so important that Spettacolo made up a lot of ground on the Etzeland driver, but stopped 6 seconds behind.
Treuenfeld triumphs with a masterful race both from a driving and strategic point of view; Michele Spettacolo finishes in second position, despite probably having the fastest car this weekend, and an excellent George Hunt closes the podium with his second third place of the season. Excellent performances also by Maddox Islwyn, Francesco Giocatore and Hein Pho Bin who, thanks to an excellent team strategy, manage to obtain precious points; last season's rivals Trent Cooper and Samira Khan, both in big trouble this weekend, have to settle for eighth and tenth positions respectively, with the benacian driver also taking the two points for the fastest lap of the race.
