The Strait of Haifa national football team was the football team which most recently represented the Haifo-Pallisican constituent nation of the Strait of Haifa, and previously represented the independent nation of the same name. It was a member of the EMUFA.
History
The team was founded in mid-2016 after the Strait of Haifa's Micrasian claim was successful. The team first competed in the following year's World Cup qualifiers, where they finished bottom of their four-team group after losing all of their matches and failing to score a single goal. Later in the year, the team played in the 2017 Emerging Nations Cup and lost their quarter-final to Centralya.
In early 2018, ahead of the year's qualifiers, the Strait of Haifa joined with Passio-Corum to form the Imperial Trade Union, with each constituent nation maintaining its separate FMF membership. In the qualifiers, the team finished bottom of their five-team group with a sole point to their name. The team then participated in their second Emerging Nations Cup, but again lost in the quarter-finals to Qavaqaqqaqqaniitqeqertaq.
In the 2019 World Cup qualifiers, the team finished bottom of their six-team group with one point to their name. Soon afterwards, the team competed in the 2019 Emerging Nations Cup, losing their quarter-final 3–2 after extra time to the Two Martyrs.
In the following year's EMU qualifiers, the team finished bottom of their five-team group with no points and no goals to their name; a record that invited them to a second Emerging Nations Cup appearance. In the Emerging Nations Cup, the team won their quarter-final 6–0 over the Franklin Islands, but lost to both hosts the Two Martyrs, in the semi-finals, and then Jääland to place fourth.
In the 2021 FMF World Cup qualification rounds, the team finished fourth in their five-team group with six points.
In the following year's EMU qualifiers, the team again finished fourth in their five-team group with six points.
The 2023 FMF World Cup qualification rounds saw the team finish bottom of their six-team group without a point, leading to an appearance at the 2023 Emerging Nations Cup, where they lost in the quarter-finals. The Strait of Haifa left Micras shortly afterwards as part of the Imperial Trade Union's demise.
