UMC was established in 1678 AN by Royal Decree of Sapa Wechua Manco Capac I in the aftermath of the Wechua Restoration. UMC was founded as part of the government's efforts to create a self-sufficient manufacturing base after Wechua Restoration in order to begin the reconstruction of the country after it was decimated by its collapse and the White Plague.
