The Zandt League was the top-tier football league in Zandarijn, run by the KZVB. The league's final format involved five teams, each playing 16 games, totalling forty games, a season. The season began in September and ended in February, with all games being played on Saturdays.
History
The Zandt League was founded in mid-August 2007 and the first season kicked-off in September 2007.
An overdue second season began in late 2010, with an additional two sides, both of which were based in the nearby territory of Hammish Monovia. During this season, the amount of fixtures each team played was doubled, with four fixtures played between teams per season; two home and two away. However, due to a lack of development, the league returned to a two-fixture schedule for the following season, with two further teams joining.
Following the dissolution of Hammish Monovia in mid-2017 as part of Hamland's transition into Caputia, its two clubs were disbanded and the league returned to a six-team format, with four fixtures to be played between all clubs per season.
Despite a provisional expansion of the league prior to its ultimate season being planned, the league was instead played with five teams after the Whelsh clubs aligned with the newly-structured Natopian setup. All football in Zandarijn was abandoned later in 2021 due to political upheaval in the territory, and the Zandt League was disbanded indefinitely.
