Xin Myksos was a Jingdaoese politician and Diwang between 1641 and 1643 AN. He was one of the main instigators of the Sheng Restoration in the south of the country. Certain sources mention his jealousy towards Sheng Xishan, the successful general who led the northern campaign in the Geming War. Some close friends mentioned that the Diwang could have played a role in the sudden death of the popular general.
Xin was forced to abdicate for unclear reasons, but survived his own abdication (something not many of his colleagues could achieve). He eventually was executed in 1676 AN, after having sided with Jung Shun during the Shun Coup.
He was the last famous member of the House of Myksos, one of the Ducal families of the Jierdai Dynasty, to have achieved a high government office within the Great Jing administration.
