Robert Aloysius Mycroft Vernet, the 6th Baron of Willow is a Brettish nobleman, landowner and politician who served as Lord Steward of the Brettish Isles from 1748 to 1758 and as leader of the Brettish autonomy movement (Anti-Ducalist Coalition) from 1729. Upon the death of his father, Everett Vernet, in 1730 he inherited the Barony of Willow as a personal estate.
His political carreer was marred by a conflict with the increasingly authoritarian Prince Jack III of Calbion which escalated in 1746. In the years that followed, Vernet negotiated the transfer of sovereignty from Calbion to the Order of the Holy Lakes. Through the ratification of the Brettish Isles Accession Treaty, he was inducted to the Order of the Holy Lakes and became a permanent senator.
Vernet announced his decision to retire in 1757, and did not stand for the Conservatives in the 1758 election. Instead, his grandson, Henry Musgrave, led the newly established Conservative-Verionist coalition to victory.
