The regions of Vegno (Vegnian: regioni di Vegno) are the first-level administrative divisions of the Republic of Vegno. As clarified by the Constitution of Vegno, there are fourteen regions each of which is an autonomous entity with defined powers.
History
In the Constitution of Vegno reference is made to local autonomy, without however actually clarifying the tasks and bodies that should guarantee it.
With Legge 2 1706, called "Territorial powers and establishment of the Regions", during the Zarrella I Cabinet, the Government of Vegno established the creation of eleven Regions, with their respective capitals. It was established that each individual region had a regional council, named "Giunta Regionale" elected by the people, at the head of which is a regional president, also elected through direct election.
After the 1707 Vegno Annexation Referendum, with which new territories were annexed to Vegno and, at the same time, 3 other regions were created, increasing the number up to 14.

Institutions
Each region has an elected parliament, called Consiglio Regionale (regional council), and a government called Giunta Regionale (regional committee), headed by a governor called Presidente della Regione (regional president). The latter is directly elected by the citizens of each region.
Under the Legge 2 1706, the winning coalition receives an absolute majority of seats on the council. The president chairs the giunta, and nominates or dismisses its members, called assessori. If the directly elected president resigns, new elections are called immediately.
