Political career
Raja of Poorajangal
Even before its annexation by the Çakar Empire, he ruled Poorajangal (formerly known as Phedodah) in The Green as Raja. He had succeeded his father-in-law, following the principle of succession by marriage. Only in this case, his father-in-law died while he was still engaged to Rani Champavati. The wedding day was brought forward, a week after the death of his father-in-law. During his grand vizership, he had appointed a regent, Kahoda Amer.
Grand Vizier of Çakaristan
To his own surprise, Rajesh was appointed by Akbar, his son-in-law. Rajesh's policy was to ensure the survival of the state. Thus, Çakaristan became a member of the Union of States around the Sovereign Oceans (USSO). As well as treaties with two neighbouring states, Hurmu and International Mandate.
Under his grand vizership, all kinds of laws were introduced to regulate elections, protect civil rights and religious freedoms. These laws later became part of the Akbar Constitution. This constitution was finally adopted in 1704 AN, its adoption earlier was not achieved due to political infighting. He organised the first elections of the Majlis al-Sultina, the precursor of the Çakari Congress. This resulted in the election of his successor as grand vizier, Jayanti Sinha.
