Philippe Émile Charbonnier (born 18.III.1694 AN) is a New Alexandrian career diplomat serving as Ambassador of Nouvelle Alexandrie to Kurum Ash-Sharqia since 1739 AN. A specialist in Corum regional affairs, Charbonnier previously served in New Batavia and was part of the delegation that negotiated the Treaty of Vrijplaats in 1722 AN.
Charbonnier joined the diplomatic service in 1718 AN after completing studies at the Institut Diplomatique de Punta Santiago. His early career focused on New Batavia, where he served as a commercial attaché and developed familiarity with the anglophone communities that had driven Kurum Ash-Sharqia's secession two decades earlier. He was recalled to Cárdenas in 1730 AN to serve as desk officer for Corum affairs, a position he held through the wedding of Lady Anahuarque Yachay to Prince Imad Ad-Din in 1731 AN, which significantly elevated the bilateral relationship. Charbonnier's appointment as ambassador came as the Department of State sought to deepen commercial ties following the implementation of the 90-day visa-free travel agreement. He has overseen substantial growth in trade and tourism between the two nations, and represented the Federation at the funeral of Sultan Salah Ad-Din I and the accession of Sultan Saif Ad-Din I.
