Operation: Pashchimee Dhal is a military operation of Çakaristan to defend its western border with Floria in the face of the Second Florian Civil War. The name chosen is "Pashchimee Dhal", meaning "western shield", indicating the intention that it is purely a defensive operation.

A song and video were made to promote the Çakari Border Guard. This led to more volunteer enlistments and will eventually help to strengthen the manpower:

Background

Ever since 1705 AN, when the Çakar Empire expanded in historic Mesoun, the border proved strategically fragile. There are no natural boundaries to the area besides the Monalan Parvat, especially in the Thul Marusthal. The Mesoun Crisis, which began in 1724 AN, prompted the creation of the Çakari Border Guard. Since the transition of this crisis into a full-blown conflict, the Second Florian Civil War, the Çakari Border Guard was put to the test.

Course

Soon, the border in western Tartaristan, the former Azuma district, proved most susceptible to an overflow from Outer Mesoun. Since Hrithik's rebellion, the area has been less well guarded. The outbreak of the Second Florian Civil War was not foreseen by the intelligence community, so it was thought that Floria is a stable nation and the border did not need increased protection.

Logistically, the installation of additional troops in the Monalan Parvat went smoothly and according to plan. The southern section from the border to Padaudah was dotted with temporary bases. Fewer military bases had been provided there until now so as not to create a hostile impression in Floria. Later, some of those temporary bases will be set up permanently.

In the Thul Marusthal, the Çakari Border Guard was already well represented and replenishment of land and air forces went according to plan. New bases were set up around Bakuya, making it referred to as Fortress Bakuya. The troops received support from local nomadic groups who provided information.

In western Tartaristan and the Khelaq Pahade, troop build-up did not go as well as planned. This proved to be a weakness in the defence after all. A safe zone emerged around Bhadrasva, but the route to it was unstable. Sympathising guerrilla groups with the Democratic Republic of East Floria disrupted the operation and supply lines.

As suddenly as it began, the Second Florian Civil War ended. The Mahaan Mansabdar, Prakash Katari, declared the operation accomplished, but this did meet with criticism in the press.

Aftermath

One sympathising guerrilla group later turned out to be the Arzhav Revolutionary Army. This group had allied itself with the Democratic Republic of East Floria and started the Red Moon Revolution.
