Nova English Navy
The Nova English Navy is the principle naval-warfare element of the Nova English Armed Forces and is responsible for defending the sovereignty and interests of Nova England at home and abroad.
Recent History
The Nova English Navy had played an important role in Nova English military operations. Through supporting ground forces, with the use of Aircraft carriers and landing platform docks, to suppressing hostile naval forces. The service suffered a significant loss of its capital aircraft carrier during the Redoubt Island War, which gradually led to a diminishing of funding as the government’s limited budget was pushed towards the Nova English Army. Following the conclusion of the Evacuations and the Great Disaster, the Navy was disbanded and the remaining vessels sold to scrap merchants and the Mercurian Armed Forces.
Following the restoration of the Kingdom of Nova England, the Provisional Witan held off from re-establishing the Navy due to the landlocked status of the National Redoubt. However following the completion of the Hild Plan, the Provisional Witan was now tasked with defending the newly occupied coastline. In December 2017 the Provisional Witan announce the reestablishment of the Navy, with its new headquarters to be based in Port Neil. To reflect the limited scope of budget available for the service, its mission scope was limited to the coastal defence of the Faedertellus.
Coastal Defence Force
As part of its mission to defend the Nova English coastline, the Navy operates a number of mobile Anti-Ship Missile Batteries featuring the Aetgar Coastal Defence System.
Each CDF battery consists of;
- 1 x Aetgar Coastal Defence System
- 1 x LandFara Grendel
- 2 x LandFara MOD Series Utility Vehicles
- 1 x Albion Motors Worker Utility Truck
- 25 x Crew & Guardsmen
