Operation Broken Teeth is an ongoing operation tasked to the Nova English Navy to provide a multi-layered defence of the Nova English coastline. Planning and command of the operation was under Rear Admiral Egred Stewart, who was restricted by the lack of modern naval ships available. As such he designed the operation to utilise a layered approach to harass and erode hostile forces.

Layer 1 - Coastal Patrols

Whilst the Fisheries Protection Group undertakes patrols within the Nova English EEZ to combat illegal fishing. Patrol ships under the Nova English Navy undertake patrols seeking to disrupt hostile elements from entering Nova English territorial waters. Due to the current lack of advanced war-fighting ships available to the Navy these Armed Trawlers are tasked with harassing enemy vessels until the Coastal Defence Batteries are able to engage.

Layer 2 - Coastal Defence Batteries

Map showing the ranges of the Coastal Defence Batteries

The Coastal Defence Batteries are a series mobile anti-ship missile batteries that provide interlinking coverage of the Nova English Coast. Each battery is shifted every few hours to reduce the risk of pre-emptive strikes by a hostile combatant. These batteries provide the main line of defence against hostile shipping and are capable of striking targets fifty miles from the coastline.

Layer 3 - Nexrecad System

The Nexrecad System is a series of fortifications originally built 1823 across the Nova English coastline. Under Operation Broken Teeth these fortifications form the final layer of coastal defence against an opposing force. The Nova English Navy has primarily focused resources of manning Nexrecads at key ports and harbours.
