QUICK START - NOUVELLE ALEXANDRIE
- Join the Discord server: invite link. Start in 🏛️・welcome-nouvelle-alexandrie, then read 📜・rules-and-guidelines and react with ✅ to unlock the rest of the server.
- Read 🧭・how-to-play. The pinned rulebook covers the whole game: how time works, citizenship, parties, elections.
- Pick your roles in ✅・self-role: your region of residence, and a party if you already know your colors.
- Create your character in 🪪・character-office using the pinned template: a name, a region, a Path (politics, law, press, or citizen-at-large), and a line or two of background. An Admin stamps it and you are a citizen of the Federation.
- Say hello in 💬・general. Share your name, how you found us, and ask anything.

All participants in Nouvelle Alexandrie engage primarily on:
Play happens on Discord. The wiki is the Federation's permanent record, and activity on it supports our status within the MCS (map).

- Add yourself to the participant list on the Nouvelle Alexandrie page.
- Character biographies: start from the Biography Template.
- Legislation: start from the Legislative Template.

Participation Roles
For Citizens
Politician
To sit in the Federal Assembly:
- Become a citizen (quick start above).
- Join a party from the menu in ✅・self-role, found one at a registration window (the filing period the Crown opens before a general election), or petition the Crown to claim a dormant party.
- Parties own their benches and can seat you mid-term. Take the oath in ✋・swear-in and you hold full rights: debate, vote on bills, question ministers.
- To stand for election or hold office, your character needs a MicrasWiki biography. About twenty minutes of work with the template.
Other Paths
Politics is one Path of four. The rulebook in 🧭・how-to-play covers the rest:
- Law: sign the Roll of Advocates and argue before the High Court.
- Press: found your own outlet and publish; the official wire is Admin-run, and your outlet is the competition.
- Citizen-at-large: chair a committee, run polls, build a business, make trouble.
For Foreigners
The Federation hosts foreign envoys. Join the server, grab the Diplomat role in ✅・self-role, and your nation has a seat at the table.
Character Creation
Characters are filed in 🪪・character-office and live in the Federation's permanent record. The rulebook covers what makes a good one: a real name, a home region, no joke characters. Several characters per player is normal.
