League of the National Defence Guilds

The League of the National Defence Guilds (Gahugd þiudiskōs hliftus gildjō) was a Benacian ultranationalist organisation formed in the Unified Governorates of Benacia during the 1740s after Norton in response to the loss of Elwynn after the Shiro-Benacian war. Drawn from mid-level officers of the Benacian Union Defence Force, with strong support within the Nationalist & Humanist Party and the Magisters-Carnifex, the league made its first order of business the destruction of those in the senior leadership cadres of the Benacian Union whose cowardice, corruption, and absenteeism enabled a Shirerithian victory. The league focused the ire of the rank and file particularly upon the Raspur Pact, Benacia Command, and those prominent public figures compromised by association with the globalist Order of the Holy Lakes as the so-called enablers of defeat.
