The Green Turbans are an Umraid volunteer movement observed to be active in the trade unions movement of Hurmu, having first come to prominence in the district of Transprinitica during 1719 AN where they assumed the duties of the Hurmu Constabulary as loyalists of the SDP led executive of Hurmu.
The Tiegang Papers subsequently exposed the extent of the paramilitary forces which had been covertly armed through the collusion of a sympathetic socialist government in Sanama. That the Green Turbans were in no way a group to be trifled with would be swiftly demonstrated during the 1719 Battle of Tyrador.
Suppressed following the victory of the Order of the Holy Lakes in the 1719–1720 Hurmu civil conflict, the Green Turbans experienced a resurgence following the 1722 Kuala Forajasaki mosque attack which sent shockwaves through the Umraist community of Transprinitica.
