The Office of the General Plenipotentiary for Armament Tasks, patterned after the National Qullqa System and United Manufacturing Corporation of Nouvelle Alexandrie, is a state institution of the Benacian Union, headquartered in the urban bailiwick of Avakair, Sovereign Confederation. It is involved in the production of armaments, vehicles, and munitions. Founded in VI.1731 AN as a consolidation of two antechambers of the Chamber of Industry and the Machine Tool Purchasing Group, the Office of the General Plenipotentiary for Armament Tasks is tasked with meeting the manufacturing needs of the Union-State during times of war, national crises, or emergencies.

History

The nominee for inaugural General Plenipotentiary for Armament Tasks was Varl Mercajski, Overnumismator Eminent for the Gentlemen of the Assay, reflecting the strategic decision to concentrate the armaments production efforts of the Chamber of Industry in the Sovereign Confederation.

Organisation

  • Office of the General Plenipotentiary for Armament Tasks

Operations

  • Spitevice Group: In IX.1731 AN the Spitevice Group of the Sovereign Confederation was directed by the General Plenipotentiary to make the assembly lines and machine tooling acquired from Assayer Armaments available to serve the requirements of the Union-State. Realms had been directed to mobilise large numbers of meritorious subjects for military service in line with quotas set by the Congress of Chryse, leading inevitably to the discovery of large material shortfalls. A million extra rifles would need to be sourced over the next year, and this would be the task facing Spitevice.
