Babkhan diaspora
The Babkhan diaspora refers to the communities of Babkhan ancestry and heritage found beyond the confines of the continent of Eura. Babkhan communities were established in two waves, the first being those founded during the era of Babkhan imperialism which culminated in the foundation of the Grand Commonwealth, and the second being comprised of those displaced by the destruction of the Kingdom in 1598 AN. Significant overseas populations are found in locations as diverse as Elluenuueq, Hurmu, the International Mandate, Sanama, and Sathrati.
The diaspora communities are to be distinguished from the remnant Babkhan populations living in Çakaristan, Constancia, the Suren Confederacy, and Zeed.
Uniquely, Nouvelle Alexandrie, spanning the continents of Apollonia, Eura, and Keltia, is host to both diaspora communities and remnant populations, with vastly different perspectives on the Federation and their place within it accordingly.
Babkhan communities, for good or ill, remain bastions of Humanism and Zurvanism around the globe. Oppositional beliefs, being primarily Tudehism and Umraism, persist also, albeit subject to the hatred and scorn by those adhering to the majority belief system.
Babkhans are commonly to be encountered in bazaars, beer halls, and bureaucracies, where they give every indication of being stubbornly entrenched. At the international level, they are significantly overrepresented within the hierarchies of the Honourable Company, the Humanist movement, and the Raspur Pact.
