The Decree in Whales on the Establishment of the Whales Auxiliary Force (D-1704-002) is a decree by Daniyal ibn Daniyal, in his capacity as Prince of Whales, issued on 24.VI.1704 AN.
Text
- In accordance with the constitutional obligations placed upon the Prince of Whales, there shall be established the Whales Auxiliary Force (WAF).
- The WAF shall have as its commander-in-chief the Prince of Whales, who may commission named individuals to raise bodies of men for specific tasks in the service of the Principality.
- A regiment of the WAF shall be established in each province of the Principality. Each regiment shall have responsibility for:
- Naval and land operations for that province;
- Demesnal police operations within that province;
- The construction and maintenance of roads, and the protection of intercity, interprovincial, and international transport routes, by land, air, and sea, within the Principality;
- The defence and security of airports, spaceports, and harbours within the Principality.
- Within each province shall be established a Depot for the purpose of inducting new recruits, conducting basic training, logistical, and medical support.
- Within each province shall be established a naval station for the provision of fleet support services.
- The WAF shall be paid for by general taxation. The value of of expenditure on the WAF shall not exceed 4% of demesnal GDP, nor go below 2% of GDP.
- Peacetime enlistment into the WAF shall be wholly voluntary and without compulsion.
- The minimum age of enlistment in the WAF shall be eighteen years of age, and the maximum age of enlistment twenty-five years of age.
- The duration of service shall not exceed twenty-five years unless extended on request, and with the assent of the Prince.
- Members of the WAF shall be issued with the Pattern M1698 Field Uniform.
- Members of the WAF shall be subject to military discipline for the duration of their service. Military discipline shall be defined as obedience of the general and specific orders of the Prince and those commission-holders whom he shall appoint to have command over members of the WAF.
- For the administration of military discipline, the WAF, and its members, shall be subject to the Court of Admiralty acting as the General Courts Martial for the Principality of Whales.
- The organisational structure, composition and conduct of the WAF, and its members, may be further defined by general orders issued by the Prince.
- The WAF shall be organised in a manner so as to ensure cooperation with the Natopian Defense Force, the Natopian Security Forces, and the allied forces attached to Cibola Command of the Raspur Pact.
