Thomas James Minamoto-Kanbara (Sangunese: トーマス・ジェームズ 源-神原?, born October 16, RP 2601)[1], or his Sangunese name, Tomoki Minamoto (源 友樹, Minamoto Tomoki?) or Tomoki Kanbara (神原 友樹, Kanbara Tomoki?), better known by his stage names T-Nola, Yukitane and Thomas Fletcher-Doofenschmirtz, is a Scattered Islander singer-songwriter, guitarist, actor, and member of the bands of Kéi-Peterpan, Scan2Go and pop duo Die Antwoord. Born in Duren Sawit in Glorioso (Karenkō) Islands, Scattered Islands and raised in Danville, Tri-State Area, Thomas began his career by joining the band Desire as a guitarist while in elementary school in RP 2612. He was also a protégé of Mat Phineas Flynn and Ferb Fletcher, as well as Vanessa Doofenschmirtz, to the point where he adopted the Fletcher-Doofenschmirtz surname as his stage name.
Fluent in Scattered Islands Phineaner, Istvanistani, Germanian, Afrikaans and Sangunese, Thomas has achieved commercial success in the Kéijō-pop market as a member of three popular bands under the auspices of TPHK Studio. He has also starred in several dramas as well as a popular animation, Chaos Through Time with his partner, Marie Flynn-Akabane.
Life and career
RP 2601-RP 2616: Career beginnings and debut with Desire and Kéi-Peterpan
Thomas was born at Kunugigaoka Hospital located in the suburb of Duren Sawit, Glorioso (Karenkō) Islands, Scattered Islands on October 16, RP 2601 to a Scattered Islands Creole family of mixed Yapreayan and Sangunese descent. He is the son of Yapreayan couple Kōji Minamoto (源 輝二, Minamoto Kōji?) and Takuya Kanbara (神原 拓也, Kanbara Takuya?). His family moved to the Tri-State Area in the summer of RP 2602 and he was raised in Danville. Thomas became interested in alternative rock and hip hop music at a young age. He and future members Peter Pínpokíe (who has a twin sister named Marie) as well as Xavier and Fred were neighbors in the neighborhood of Maple Drive (where the Flynn-Fletcher and Garcia-Schapiro families lived), were also "neighborhood friends from elementary school" and often sang, played guitar, danced, and rapped together. He also met Ferb Fletcher in the same neighborhood (when Phineas was on Rintis Island), since he also has a personality similar to Ferb and it's girlfriend at the time, Vanessa Doofenschmirtz, he also shows his interest in engineering and science. Every summer vacation, he and his friends often do similar activities in this neighborhood, which has happened since Phineas and Ferb's childhood. After going through elementary school in Danville, Thomas returned to Glorioso (Karenkō) Islands and his neighbors also moved to the same place with their families. Thomas and his friends, including Marie, continued their education at Kunugigaoka Junior High School.
While in elementary school in Danville, he and his friends joined the band Desire after several of the original members left. Although they were too young to be proficient in their instruments, Thomas took over as guitarist, replacing the original guitarist, while his friend Peter took over as second vocalist (and to be a lead for two singles). Given the stage name "Yukitane" by lead vocalist of Desire, he became the youngest guitarist in the band. His first album with Desire, Duk Buwi Alasey Mu, received rave reviews following the band's comeback. After rebranding as Kéi-Peterpan while still retaining the lead vocalist, the group achieved mainstream success with the release of the song "Duk Nginta Dari Tirai Kamar" from the album Jangan Gentar, which topped several charts in the Tri-State Area upon its release.
