Kaiser Trantor III was the 60th kaiser of Shireroth. Almost nothing is known of his life and reign, but it is believed that his son and successor, Kaiser Gaelen I, destroyed everything there was to know about him, killing him, his wife, other children, and friends, and so on.
The Postern Gate of the Palace of Zirandorthel was constructed before the reign of Trantor during a period of heightened tension between the Kaiser and the nobility, approximately forty years before the establishment of the Landsraad. Built by the first Praetor, Nicholas Raglan, it served as a secret escape route from the palace. The gate reportedly fell into disuse after Trantor issued the now-lost first Mango Carta, a charter believed to have granted the nobility increased political influence. Historians speculate that this concession may have contributed to Gaelen’s efforts to erase his father’s legacy.
