The 1729 Benacian Union impressment campaign, commencing from Roqpin of that year, was an effort of the High Presidium of the Benacian Union to generate deployable manpower reserves for the period 1730 AN1734 AN, a time of perceived greater risk for the Union-State. As an alternative to conscription, recruitment agents of the Benacian Union Defence Force, the Honourable Company, and the Humanist Vanguard of the N&H national sector parties of the Benacian Union, were directed to purchase into service the entirety of graduating cohorts of the Benacian gymnasia, exempting only the physically and mentally defective, for a mandatory period of four years service.

The impressment campaign was activated in Chryse, Elluenuueq, the Sovereign Confederation, and the Unified Governorates. In deference to treaty obligations, the recruitment campaign in the realm of Ransenar took on an essentially different nature, with the choice offered being between voluntary enlistment in the BUDF or registry for service in mandated civil defence organisations.

To cover for potential gaps in the labour market for the Guilds of Benacia by the lack of a year's worth of apprentices, it was mandated that protected persons, particularly municipal bondsmen, received certificates of manumission entitling their participation in the labour auctions of 1729 AN. The Sovereign Confederation was also deemed compensated by the influx of 2.5 million Elwynnese displaced persons resettled by the Benacian Relief and Works Agency.
