Operation Jungle Bolo
The joint allied exercise named as Operation Jungle Bolo, commenced in the fourth month of 1717 AN under the direction of the Trans-Euran Continental Theatre Command, with the focus of activity being on the frontier regions of northern Kapavia, Norasht, and the Zjand Basseri. The Popular Levy of the Suren Confederacy served as hosts for the exercise, mobilising nine brigades of gendarmes to constitute the core of 509th Army, whilst the Imperial Constancian Armed Forces would also rehearse the activation of their Home Guard reserves and the deployment of the 507th Army from Nivardom and the 508th Army from Raspur into the Suren Confederacy via the Pan-Euran Highway and the Trans-Euran Railway. Combined arms drills, featuring aviation, maritime, and amphibious contingents from the allied nations, would also be conducted in the Gulf of Zinjibar and the Trucial Isles.
Allied contingents and advisory missions, notably from the Benacian Union, Floria, and Nouvelle Alexandrie, which had been present in the Suren Confederacy as part of efforts to quell the Kapavian insurgency, were invited to participate in Operation Jungle Bolo or to send observers, whilst the security directorate of the Honourable Company and the Vanguard Divisions of the Constancian and Surenid branches of the N&H were also accorded the opportunity to demonstrate their ability to provide logistical and rear-area security support to deployed allied formations.
The exercise focused on a number of challenges, military activities and joint field exercises, and its activities were scheduled to continue for the remainder of the year.
