The Imperial Federation of Adrestia and Drag'os, known better as The Imperial Federation, is a set of Imperialist, unified, sovereign states that coalesced in 1706 AN following the Ralgon War of Succession. It composes of the Kingdom of Adrestia, founded in 1675 AN, and the Kingdom of Drag'os, which has existed as a unified polity since the Holy Ralgon Empire completed its unification under a single, centralized government in c. 1655 AN. Its first ruler is Masamune IV, crowned as Emperor at the age of 5 AN years in 1706, during a succession struggle over the Imperial Crown, after the death of its holder, Ralgon Emperor Shiro I the year prior. Their claim to rule was enforced by the opening of 1707 AN, with pockets of resistance primarily in the imperial east. The Empire is governed under the tenets of Draconic Humanism, a combined religion and political ideology, which forms the basis of rule in the twin realms.

Since its victory over its former Ralgonese overlords, the Imperial Federation has, in addition to recent gains elsewhere, claimed almost the entirety of Ralgon's former territory. The Imperial Federation consists of two high-level States: Adrestia, and Drag'os, both under the direct rule by the Emperor of the Federation, the 37 Masamune IV.

The first state, Adrestia, is located primarily on a chain of islands surrounding the Feanonian Sea. This includes nearly all of South Island and others near it along the far eastern coast of Keltia. The Empire's executive capital is located here, where the Emperor and his Court sits the new Imperial Throne. The second state, Drag'os, occupies the majority of the island once known to old-style cartographers as San Martin. It holds court at Glacier City, once Ralgon's former capital, now the Imperial Federation's legislative and religious capital. Additionally, Drag'os's umbrella covers the entirety of Ardashir Island, formerly held by Stormark for most of its history in MCS and shortly afterwards by Byalia, which collapsed not long before its conquest by the Imperial Federation during the succession war. Other territories such as Nova Victoria nearby and Dragospire Island far to the north also form part of a newly global empire that supplanted Ralgon after its violent but relatively brief civil war.

The Imperial Federation claims to be the direct successor to the Holy Ralgon Empire, known shortly as Ralgon, which was a quasi-feudal empire that has existed since 228 AN and remained closed to the world until c. 1655 AN. The Ralgon Empire has heavily influenced and/or governed the entire island of Dragos (known to the wider world as "El Dorado") for the last two centuries. After having consolidated diplomatic control of most of the island, the Ralgon Empire developed some of the world's most advanced science, engineering, and medicine, which it used to briefly take over the island. This golden age was not to last, though. From 1680 AN to 1700 AN the central Ralgon government lost most of its hinterlands and frontiers in quick succession to a series of cataclysmic events, some of which led to such political disasters as the Ralgon Civil War and the Cibolan Reconquista. Under its final Emperor, Shiro I of Ralgon, the Holy Ralgon Empire finally fell to a rebellion led by a member of its imperial household, whose family led the far more sizable and prosperous Keltian half of the Empire.

The Imperial Federation has land borders with Calbion in both Keltia and on Drag'os Island off the northern coast of mainland Cibola. It has land borders in Nixtorm on Keltia with the Bassarid Empire and in South Island with a tiny exclave of the Benacian Union. The Imperial Federation shares no other land borders, but many additional countries on the MCS share maritime borders with the Imperial Federation. In eastern Keltia, those include New Alexandria, Mercury, and Hurmu. In Cibola, maritime neighbors include Sanama, Natopia, and Sankt Ludwigshafen.
