The Ocia national football team was the football team which represented the micronation of Ocia. It was a member of the EMUFA, and was run by the ONFA.
The team existed twice in the FMF's history; firstly between late 2007 and early 2009, and secondly between late 2009 and mid-2013. It was the official predecessor and successor of West Ocia, which existed between these periods, and as such retained its records.
History
The team was founded in late 2007 after Ocia's Micrasian claim was successful. The team competed in its first World Cup qualifiers the following year, where it finished second to Passas in a group of six. In doing so, the team advanced to the play-offs, where they were beaten 5–0 by New South Vietnam.
In early 2009, Ocia was politically split into two separate nations; East Ocia and West Ocia. The West Ocian team was granted official successor status by the FMF and retained the majority of Ocia's players. In that year's World Cup qualifiers, West Ocia finished second to Bobalania in their group before beating Sarasovia in the play-offs to seal qualification. Ocia reunified prior to the finals, hosting the final of EMU 2009 soon after, but the team competed under the same name with which they qualified. However, they finished bottom of their group, but did beat Tellia 1–0 for their only points. Following the World Cup, a single Ocian team was reëstablished.
In the 2010 qualifiers, the reunified Ocian team finished third in their four-team group with six points.
The following year, Ocia improved, finishing second behind Taeland in its qualifying group by a point. Because of this, the team qualified for their first ever EMU Championships, where they finished fifth in their six-team group.
Ocia's successes continued into the following year's World Cup qualifying, with the team qualifying for their first World Cup as a unified nation by winning the group with 18 points. In doing so, they also secured a place in their second EMU Championships. In the World Cup, the team finished third in their group with two points, missing-out on a quarter-final place on goal difference, before finishing bottom of their EMU 2012 group later in the year.
In the 2013 qualifiers, the team could only finish third in their four-team group with eight points. Ocia left Micras shortly afterwards.
