The West Ocia national football team was the football team which represented the micronation of West Ocia. It was a member of the EMUFA, and was the official successor and predecessor of Ocia, and as such retained its records.
History
The team was founded in early 2009 after Ocia split into two separate nations; East Ocia and West Ocia. The West Ocian team was granted official successor status by the FMF and retained the majority of Ocia's players. As Ocia, the team first competed in the previous year's World Cup qualifiers, reaching the play-offs before losing 5–0 to New South Vietnam.
The West Ocians first competed in 2009's World Cup qualifiers, finishing second in their five-team group and advancing to the play-offs, where they beat Sarasovia 2–1 on aggregate to qualify. Although Ocia reunified prior to the finals, the team competed under the name they qualified with, finishing bottom of their group with three points. A single Ocian team was reëstablished following the World Cup.
