Sara Eskenderion Avon-El Ayreon-Kalirion, mostly known as Sara Avon-El, is an Elwynnese–Shirerithian-Hurmu noblewoman and matriarch of the Avon-El family. Princess among the Lakes since 1666. Elder sister of Jeremiah Avon-El. Lives in a mansion in Amity.
An eccentric lady, Sara Avon-El enjoys hosting parties but gets upset when she is not admired as much as she would like. She has never married, calling men uninteresting and women unable to further her dynasty, so all her hope in carrying on the Avon-El dynasty is through her brother Jeremiah with whom she has a complicated relationship. The trauma from their shared childhood of unloving and emotionally abusive parents has caused her to be deeply paranoid about people around her. In her household, she is notorious for being distrusting of her underlings. For example, she does all accounting and book-keeping of her estates herself – by hand on big sheets of paper so that no one can hack her accounts. She enjoys drawing maps of her estates, noting every time something new changes there. She keeps a census of all animals – livestock as well as wild animals – that graze or roam her lands.
