Prelude

• 00:00 (midnight): Combined Eastern Banner Fleet, comprising Task Force 1692.1 of the Maritime Armada and Shire Sea Flotilla of the Navy of Ransenar departed "Winter's Peace", sailing due north. Main battle line headed by MAS Conqueror, escorted by MAS Dragon, and followed by MAS Invincible, which was in turn flanked by MAS Deliverance and MAS Despatch. Ransenari destroyers were divided into two squadrons of five destroyers each, deployed in echelon 5 km to the north and 2 km to the east and west of MAS Conqueror respectively. The Type XXV U-Boat HRMS Noor patrolled submerged 12 km ahead of the main force whilst its counterpart, HRMS Vidar having been positioned 12 km to the north-west of the main force dove deep and began to edge towards Fishermen's Bay.
• 00:45 – 01:20: Night-time combat air patrol sortie from Wolfraven naval station (76 Sqn, x4 F-9 Ashavan II) airborne to conduct overflight of each Cimmerian island south-east to north-west. CAP sorties recurring once every six hours.
• 02:15 – 03:20: Night-time combat air patrol sortie from Vijayanagara aerodrome (2 Sqn, x4 F-9 Ashavan II) airborne to conduct overflight bailiwicks of Agnesia. CAP sorties recurring once every six hours.
• 06:45 – 07:20: Night-time combat air patrol sortie from Wolfraven naval station (76 Sqn, x4 F-9 Ashavan II) airborne to conduct overflight of each Cimmerian island south-east to north-west. CAP sorties recurring once every six hours.
• 06:55: CAP sortie detects multiple surface contacts due south of Cromswind. Warnings radioed by sortie pilots to Sector Command. Radio traffic intercepted by UDF. TF 1692.1 alerted to likelihood of discovery.

Battle

• 07:16: 8x CN-61 Buzzard launched from the flight deck of IFS Jacobo Castrigo. 12x NH-K1 Whirdlebirb airborne in spotter / air-sea rescure role.
• 07:20: QRA flights scrambled by 61 Squadron, 82 Squadron, and 92 Squadron, coordinated by Cimmeria Air Defence Sector (12x F-9 II Ashavan). 76 Squadron CAP sortie returned to base.
• 07:24: Maritime strike flight (4x F-8M Shrike) launched by 104 Squadron.
• 07:30: First wave of QRA flights pass inside engagement range of longbow system aboard MAS Conqueror. Of the 6x longbow-cutlass missiles launched, 4x intersected with their targets, resulting in 3x proximity detonations and 1x direct hit. The outright shootdown claimed an Ashavan of 82 Squadron with the loss of its pilot, whilst the pilot of a second Ashavan from 82 Squadron lost control of his aircraft and was forced to eject over the water. Similarly the pilots of the remaining 2x Ashavans, both of 62 Squadron, were similarly obliged to eject.
• 08:00: "Battle-frigates" and corvettes of the Boreal and Cimmerian flotillas lifted anchor and departed, at speed, towards the area of the reported hostile contacts.
