The Lanzerwalder Volksarmee are the armed forces of the Lanzerwald Republic, they replaced the Scuta Aemilia of the Confoederatio Aemilia in 1751 following the 1751 military coup in the Confoederatio Aemilia that led to the creation of the Lanzerwald Republic. The Lanzerwalder Volksarmee is organised in four branches, the Volksheer, Lanzerwaldmarine, the Luftkavallerie and the border guard. The branches are supported by the logistical service of the Lanzerwalder Volksarmee, especially the Bahnkorps, and policy is made by the general staff. The intelligence agencies Spionenkorps Ludwigshafen and GossipGirl report to the general staff of the Lanzerwalder Volksarmee. The general staff has its headquarters in the Wulfsbüttel fortress in Weisenburg which was inherited from the Weisenburger Kriegstruppen following the integration of the United Principalities into the Aemilian Federation.
