Maschinenkarabiner 1754
The Maschinenkarabiner 1754 is a weapon that was developed by Waffenschmiederei Ludwigshafen with the intention to create a new standard rifle for the armed forces of the Lanzerwald Republic. The weapon is an assault rifle that is chambered for the Standardpatrone 5.56 PRIMA. Design work on the began unofficially around 1748 within Waffenschmiederei Ludwigshafen by engineers that were unhappy with the heavy recoil that weapons chambered for Raspur Pact standard 7.62×67mm gave. The first prototypes were not much different from the Maschinenpistole 1720 that had been in service with the armed forces of the Confoederatio Aemilia since the 1720's. Adjustments made to the Maschinenpistole 1720 besides the change of ammunition are a lower weight, as the Maschinenkarabiner 1754 only weighs 3.2kg compared to the 3.5kg that the Maschinenpistole 1720 weighed. The Maschinenkarabiner 1754 employs a 30 round detachable magazine.
