Main article: Fourth Euran War

Timeline

    • III.15:
      • Even as Operation Lightning Dawn unraveled, the 1ère Division Blindée, 4ème Division Mécanisée, and 5ème Division d'Infanterie were identified as spearheading an Oportian advance into the Ashad Republic on the western frontier of Zeed. Even if the objective to knock out Rusjar with a single blow had failed, the imperative to gain strategic depth by occupying Zeed - thereby linking up the two halves of Oportia - remained.
      • Strategic assessments undertaken by the General Inspectorate of Eura and Corum indicated the Oportian National Guard, augmented by the Militia, had established the equivalent of a division apiece in Vanie and Port Félix, and the foundational cadres of brigades in the remaining federal cities of the country. The standing up of these formations in the period following the Mehrshahr Meltdown would allow the regular Oportian Army to devote its energies to the high intensity manoeuvre warfare that it would now be embarked upon against Zeed.
    • III.16: Reports from Ashad indicated the overpowering presence of tactical aviation from the Oportian Armée de l'Air over the battlefield, with close air support aircraft having been gathered in large numbers to establish local air superiority, even if - at the theatre level - the Trans-Euran Command might reasonably expect to establish air supremacy in short order.
    • III.17: First encounter battles between the 6th Motorised Division and 14th Motorised Division of the Armed Forces of Zeed and the onrushing Oportian columns spearheaded by the 1ère Division Blindée resulted in the rout and dispersal of the lightly armoured Zeedic formations.
    • III.18: The 5422nd Parachute Regiment of the 542nd Rapid Reaction Unit, garrisoned in cantonments outside Norvind, was deployed via airlift to Avey, the New Alexandrian enclave on the Zeedic mainland. The deployment was made to reassure the local population in the midst of the ongoing Oportian offensive. The paratroopers would be joining a local garrison formed of a marine detachment, Home Guard volunteers, and Euran Auxiliaries.
    • III.19: The National Salvation Council authorizes Emergency Decree No. ##, establishing the Foreign Volunteer Corps under Department of Internal Security command. Vice Admiral Dufort initiates covert contact with surviving Confederacy of the Dispossessed cells, offering full amnesty, Oportian citizenship, and 2,500 Mérite monthly salaries for former Dispossessed fighters willing to conduct asymmetric operations against Constancian forces. Simultaneously, the "Brothers in Arms Initiative" launches recruitment operations targeting displaced military personnel from collapsed states or warring areas across Keltia and Apollonia, with agents deployed to refugee camps offering immediate citizenship, 50-hectare land grants in occupied Zeedic territory, and veteran pensions for 10 years of service.
    • III.20: Marking the beginning of the so-called "infestation strategy", the Oportian Navy sortied its entire strength of Coastal Patrol Ships (60), Fast Response Cutters (42), Fast Attack Craft (24), and Maritime Security Cutters (48) into the coastal and riverine waters of Zeed and the Altus Isles of Nouvelle Alexandrie.
    • III.21: Rusjar, Norvind, and Avey come under a concerted barrage of submarine launched cruise missiles and ballistic missiles with inert kinetic multiple independent reentry vehicles. It would be speculated that the attack was undertaken primarily to run down the stockpile of the active strategic missile defence system operated by Nouvelle Alexandrie in the region.
    • III.22: Supported by local concentrations of helicopters and light attack aircraft, the 1st Infantry Regiment and 4th Reconnaissance Squadron of the Oportian Foreign Legion were inserted into the Nyongolo region of Zeed. Fears abound that the Oportians will attempt to use their presence in the region to stir up rebellion amongst the Androphagi tribal primitives.
    • III.23: A state of siege is declared in Adabad as the Oportian offensive into Ashad continues. What was termed an "old-fashioned dogfight" occurred over the city between an intruding squadron of Oportian T-5/A-5 Tejón de Miel and a multitude of T-4/A-4 Flecha flown by aviators of the Garrisoned Police Force of Zeed. The Zeedic side was seen to have the worst of the engagement until a pair of New Alexandrian interceptors from Avey arrived on the scene, obliging the Oportians to retire
