The Tea Cup is an international female football competition for nations whose national drink is tea. The initiative was taken by Çakaristan and organised the tournament in cooperation with the Fédération Micraise de Football Féminin. The tournament's matches would be played in four stadiums in four different cities around Çakaristan.

As only tea nations were invited, there were five nations: Çakaristan, Constancia, Hurmu, Lac Glacei and The Hexarchy. This was supplemented by a former nation, the Jingdaoese Empire, now as Greater Kildare part of the Imperial Republic of Shireroth. As well as the unincorporated territory of Sanpantul was invited, being a former independent tea nation.

The tournament's main sponsor is the Köping Tea Company.

Organisation

Venues

The selected stadiums were also part of the bid for the 2025 FMF World Cup. The stadiums with less than 30,000 seats were immediately excluded. Through the courts, the owner of the Kadim Tarlabaşı Stadium tried to be selected after all, as the stadium is being renovated to potentially provide 32,000 seats. But the court turned it down because it was not certain how many seats would eventually be provided, the renovation was not yet finished and the selection was made based on the current available stadiums. After all, elsewhere in the country there were stadiums under construction where more than 30,000 seats might also be available.

To the dismay of Lucy Myksos, the ÇaýDome in Chaybajar, her hometown, was not selected. Cities and stadiums were chosen that were relatively near each other and could be reached by train. The Çakari National Railways is organising the ‘Cup Express’, as it was intended at the 2025 FMF World Cup.

The top-three teams at the competition are presented medals while the remaining teams are presented participation banners.Along with their medals, the winning team is presented the Tea Cup Trophy, although the trophy remains in the possession of the Çakaristan Football Federation.

Opening

The opening ceremony was held on the evening before the tournament started. Festively, all guests were received at the Jangala Stadium in Keruliya. The entry of the Shahbanu was accompanied by huge applause. With her husband and children in the stands, she stood on stage and delivered a speech. That speech was not long, but it kicked off the opening of the Tea Cup. All the teams were presented, with each alternating a section of the stage being the most enthusiastic for their respective team.

To give the opening a Çakari-style feel, it was time for dance and music:

First round

Çakaristan vs. Constancia

The opening match of the Tea Cup between the Çakaristan and Constancia national women's teams was an enthralling and intense battle, held at the atmospheric Jangala Stadium in Keruliya. Fans of both teams filled the stands, creating an electric atmosphere.

From the first whistle, Çakaristan took the initiative. Their attack was fast and powerful, and after just 15 minutes of play, the team's star player Aylin Demir scored the opening goal with a beautiful shot from outside the 16-yard box. The Çakaristan supporters cheered exuberantly and it looked like they were heading for victory.

Constancia, however, did not get discouraged and came up with a strong response. In the 30th minute, they were awarded a free kick just outside the penalty area. The captain, Elena Rojas, took the free kick and with a beautifully placed shot, she made sure the score was levelled. Constancia fans erupted in joy.

After half-time, the pace of the match picked up. Both teams created chances, but it was Çakaristan that got the upper hand. In the 70th minute, a quick counter turned into a goal. After a clever combination, the ball reached the young talented striker, Melis Yıldız, who bypassed Constancia's defence with a clever move and scored in a controlled manner into the right corner of the goal.

Constancia still tried to come back into the match, with some dangerous attacks and a few shot chances, but Çakaristan's defence held firm. In the end, the referee whistled for the end of the match and the final score stood at 2-1 in Çakaristan's favour.

The victory opened the Tea Cup in spectacular fashion, with players and supporters sharing their joy. Çakaristan can look back on a strong performance, while Constancia will have to recover for the next matches of the tournament. It promises to be an exciting competition!

The Hexarchy vs. Sanpantul

The football match between the national women's teams of The Hexarchy and Sanpantul took place at the impressive Akbar National Stadium in Agra, a venue famous for its rich history and beautiful design. The duel, which was part of the Tea Cup, promised to be an exciting showdown between Sanpantul's experienced squad and The Hexarchy's younger team.

From the start of the match, it was clear that Sanpantul would put their experience to good use. Their players, many of whom have been playing together for years, showed solid team spirit and an excellent understanding of the game. The first half was dominated by Sanpantul, which showed its attacking prowess early on. With sharp interplay and flowing attacks, they managed to put consistent pressure on The Hexarchy's defence.

In the 15th minute, Sanpantul opened the scoring with a superb goal from their experienced striker. With a clever feint, she left a defender behind and placed the ball into the corner of the goal with precision. The Hexarchy, who had had few chances yet, worked hard to fight back but found it difficult to break through Sanpantul's strong defence.

In the second half, Sanpantul remained dominant. The team managed to keep the pace of play high and created more chances. In the 60th minute, the second goal for Sanpantul came from a well-run attack down the right flank. A sharp cross was tapped in perfectly by a midfielder, who once again outsmarted The Hexarchy's defence.

However, The Hexarchy did not give up and tried to turn the game around, but their attacks were often met by Sanpantul's experienced defence, which showed tight organisation. The final final final blow came in the 80th minute, with Sanpantul taking the score to 3-0 with a superb free kick, which curled perfectly over the wall and surprised the goalkeeper.

The match ended with a clear 0-3 victory for Sanpantul, which honoured its status as the oldest and most experienced team in the Tea Cup. While The Hexarchy's players stepped off the pitch disappointed, Sanpantul's players enjoyed their well-organised and controlled victory at the beautiful Akbar National Stadium.

Shireroth vs. Hurmu

The football match between Shireroth's national women's team and Hurmu, which took place at the Emerald Arena in Maulikpur, was an exciting and historic encounter. For Shireroth, this was the first international competition, and the team was determined to make a strong impression. On the other hand, Hurmu, who had not participated in an international competition since 2022, were curious to see how they would fare against a newcomer.

From the start of the match, the atmosphere in the stadium was electrifying. Fans of both teams filled the stands, seated on colourful chairs and waving flags. Shireroth started the match with great energy and showed their determination to take control of the game. The players moved quickly and used their skill to put Hurmu under pressure.

The first half was very equal, but it was Shireroth who opened the scoring in the 28th minute. After a wonderful attack down the wing, with the right flank player delivering an excellent cross, Shireroth's striker was able to work the ball behind the Hurmu goalkeeper with a clever header. The crowd erupted in joy, and teammates celebrated the goal with each other in an exuberant circle.

Hurmu, however, did not get discouraged by Shireroth's goal. They came out of the dressing room stronger after half-time and started applying more pressure. After a few chances, Hurmu was awarded a penalty kick in the 60th minute after a foul in the penalty area. Hurmu's team captain boldly stepped forward and shot the ball into the right corner of the goal with certainty, resulting in an equaliser. Hurmu fans cheered loudly as the players hugged each other and breathed new life into the team.

The final phase of the match was a true spectacle, with both teams looking for the winning goal. Shireroth had a couple of dangerous chances, but the Hurmu goalkeeper made some excellent saves. At the other end, Hurmu was also dangerous in attack, but Shireroth's defence held firm.

In the end, the match ended in a 1-1 draw, a result that gave both teams a sense of pride. For Shireroth, it was a strong start in their first international competition, and for Hurmu it offered the hope of a new chapter, despite the long absence from international matches. Lac Glacei vs. Constancia

The football match between the Lac Glacei and Constancia national women's teams was a true spectacle, which took place at Dolphins Tub in Manbai. Both teams were keen to maximise their chances in the Tea Cup, with Constancia looking to win its second match.

The match started with a lot of energy and enthusiasm from both sides. Lac Glacei opened the scoring with a superb goal from their striker in the 10th minute, who bypassed a defender and placed the ball into the corner of the goal with finesse. Constancia reacted quickly and soon equalised. A sharp combination between the midfield and the attack resulted in a brilliant free kick that disappeared into the top corner.

The first half was a real challenge for both defences, with several chances on both sides. Lac Glacei recovered and managed to take the lead again a few minutes before half-time, but again Constancia managed to clear the deficit, sending both teams into the dressing rooms 2-2.

In the second half, the game accelerated even more. Lac Glacei showed that they are the team they are for a reason, scoring within the first 10 minutes with a clever header from a corner. Constancia did not get discouraged and fought back, bolstering their attack. An impressive solo effort by their captain levelled the score again, 3-3.

Tension rose when Lac Glacei again took the lead through a shot from outside the 16-metre area that surprised Constancia's goalkeeper. But Constancia, determined not to be left empty-handed, levelled the score again and made sure the crowd was on the edge of their seats.

Things came to a real climax in the final minutes of the match, with both teams going all out. In the end, it was Lac Glacei who scored the decisive goal in the 90th minute with a beautiful lob over the goalkeeper, making the final score 5-4.

The match ended in a euphoric mood for Lac Glacei, while Constancia was disappointed but looked back on an exciting and goal-rich match with much pride and fighting spirit. This duel will long be remembered as one of the most exciting matches of the tournament.

The Hexarchy vs. Çakaristan

The football match between The Hexarchy's national women's team and Çakaristan took place at the atmospheric Jangala Stadium in Keruliya, where spectators gathered for an exciting showdown in the second round of the Tea Cup. In the 15th minute, Çakaristan opened the scoring with a beautiful shot from their striker, Aylin Demir, who placed the ball into the top right corner of the goal with precision. The second half started with a new strategy from The Hexarchy, who took more risks in attack. However, Çakaristan's defence stood like a house and their goalkeeper made some great saves that kept the pressure on. In the 65th minute, Çakaristan scored again with good interplay, bringing the score to 0-2. This goal gave extra pressure to The Hexarchy's players, who were now forced to go all out in attack.

In the closing stages of the second half, as The Hexarchy desperately tried to score, Çakaristan took advantage of a counter-attack and scored the third goal, bringing the final score to 0-3. With this convincing victory, Çakaristan strengthened their position towards a place in the next round of the Tea Cup.

It was a match full of excitement, determination and good team play by Çakaristan, who executed their strategy perfectly and secured victory at the Jangala Stadium, while The Hexarchy now had to think about their next steps in the tournament.

Sanpantul vs. Shireroth

Sanpantul, who were known for their dedicated and workmanlike style of play, responded with their own attacks, coming in front of Shireroth's goal with some dangerous moments. Sanpantul's midfielder delved into the game and created chances, but lacked precision and luck in finishing. However, the goalkeepers on both sides stood as a wall and kept their nets clean; this increased the tension and suspense in the stage.

As the minutes passed, it seemed to be a battle of endurance and tactics. Both teams gave everything, but the final pass was lacking each time and goals failed to materialise. Despite several corner kicks and free kicks, neither team could find the net.

Çakaristan vs. Sanpantul
